The 3.6mm lens provides you with a wide angle (approximately 90 degrees), enabling you to cover a certain area, or even a wide room. At night, the 25 Infrared Illuminators will provide up to 85 feet of Night Vision. So in low light, dull, light, or poor light, infrared is definitely the way to go. This camera is perfect for high end business and home applications.
The "SPY-DOME" has a smoked cover so it is difficult for anyone (employees, customers) to see where the lens is pointed. They also cannot tell if it is a fixed camera (which it is) or a moveable camera that you can control. This makes a great deterrent as they are never sure which way the lens is pointed.
